Couponing for Community - save some and give some!
I think it's great to be able to help others by doing what I love ... which is chasing down deals. I am not an extreme couponer and I don't have a stockpile. I am just an every day shopper using coupons to save money.
I usually have a tote bag set aside to throw in any items that I am expecting to donate. I occasionally buy 1 or 2 store brand grocery bags while shopping (mostly because I forgot my own tote bags). But these work out great for holding and transporting donations.
Besides, did you know The Pittsburgh Tote Bag Project collects totes to help people have a more dignified experience at local food banks? They also collect for many different organizations and drives that are going on in the Pittsburgh area.
Here is their information if you are interested in finding out more about them or if you have totes to donate:
The Pittsburgh Tote Bag Project
P.O. Box 99204, Pittsburgh, PA 15233
To start, you can check out the Free Barilla Pasta Deal here:
Free Whole Grain Barilla Pasta at Giant Eagle after coupon thru 5/2
You can also get a free Giant Eagle tote with your Advantage Card. That deal can be found here: Free Giant Eagle 99¢ tote. Just sign up on Facebook with your Advantage Card number and pick up in store!
So, are you participating in the Couponing for Community drive? Show us pictures of what you are donating and who you are donating to.
